The Hot Vergin

Ingredients

  • 25ml Vermont Limon Botanical Spirit
  • Fitch & Leedes Sugar Free Indian Tonic
  • juice of 1/2 lemon + rind
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • fresh mint, 6-8 leaves
  • sparkling water
  • sliced and whole fresh chilli garnish
  • crushed ice
  • lemon rind to garnish

Method

Briefly bruise mint leaves together with chilli flakes, lemon juice and rind with a pestle & mortar. Strain into a glass half filled with crushed ice. Add Vermont Limon Botanical Spirit. Top with 1 part Fitch & Leedes Sugar Free Indian Tonic and 1 part sparkling water. Add chopped, fresh Chilli for extra heat. Garnish with lemon rind and a sprig of mint. Tip: prepare crushed sea salt with a few chilli flakes on a saucer. Before filling glass, turn upside down and dip rim into lemon juice and then into salt mixture, turn to coat.
